Meet the Barely Blonde
Hey there, Beautiful!
Welcome! I am so glad we have this opportunity to get to know each other. I am the Barely Blonde, the author of Living Barely Blonde, but you can call me Jenn. It is wonderful having you here.
Grab a coffee and stay a while!
Let me tell you a little about myself. . .
I LOVE drinking water. Specifically SmartWater. Every brand and faucet water tastes different to me. Odd, but true.
I enjoy working out, especially running. My favorite running routine was when we lived in Albuquerque, NM. I would wake just before the sunrise and as it was rising I would run outside and hot air balloons would be floating in the sky. It was magical every time and would always put a smile on my face. My running routine is quite different now, but that is how I originally fell in love with running.
It’s been 5+ years since I have had caffeine. Depressing, I know. . . I gave it up because I was having caffeine headaches (yeah, it’s a thing) and sinus issues (apparently caffeine constricts the sinuses). Who knew? C’est la vie.
I’m located in the beautiful Southern California with my little family of three and our cute Pomeranian. Our Pomeranian’s name is Hudson Beau Pom Pom Le Créme. It originally began as Pom Pom Le Créme, but my daughter kept referring to him as a her so we added a more boy-ish name to help her remember. Honestly, though, he really is more of a Hudson Beau.
I have a few food allergies – the biggest ones are any form/derivative of dairy and wheat/gluten. Consuming dairy makes my face swell up like Will Smith in Hitch and wheat makes my mouth and ears itchy, causes bloating and rheumatoid arthritis, and does a number on my skin. I was 17 when I had my first arthritis symptoms and without consuming wheat, it’s completely gone! Lastly, I stay away from tomatoes. It’s tragic, really, but I break out like crazy when I eat it. When I avoid tomatoes, my skin completely clears up.
I have a love for fashion. I love shopping, trying outfit after outfit on, and how the clothing makes me feel. I strongly believe that we should dress for ourselves and not others. It’s important that each individual feels confident in what they are wearing.
Lastly, we are slowly adding our signature touches to our house to really make it our own. Prioritizing projects as we go. We’ve remodeled the master bathroom and did a complete overhaul on the backyard in the last several years!
Let me know if you want to know anything specific in the comments!
I cannot wait to grow this friendship with you!
